The NHS Borders Public Dental Service provides access to routine and specialist NHS dental care across the Scottish Borders. This may include patients who cannot obtain treatment from a general dental practice, may have additional needs or require specialised services.
We have a number of Dental Centres spread through out the Borders providing a full range of NHS dental services. These centres are staffed by friendly, enthusiastic teams, who are committed to providing high quality dental care.
We also have an Oral Health Promotion department whose aim is to improve the oral health of the residents within the Scottish Borders. The oral health team work in partnership with various organisations and offer advice, support and resources. The National Childsmile programme works with children, their parents and carers to help improve their oral health.
